Its been a Quick 20 Years … and in the mean time, Everything has Changed.

It’s been a Quick 20 Years … and in the mean time, Everything has Changed. Well this weekend could not come quick enough. On Friday night at 11.15pm I was a VIP at the cinema to watch the long awaited sequel to Trainspotting. Originating from Edinburgh and living through the Trainspotting era, personally sharing a pint with Irvine Welsh, and knowing so many “real” people who could have easily played the characters, I was not disappointed. The cast lived

The Magic is in the Salty Water

The Magic is in the Salty Water I have been asked on a few occasions over the years to write a book detailing my experiences and the learnings I have taken from them to inspire others. So I am writing this blog to condense and give an overview of how reliance, determination and an inner knowing that “Surely my life is about more than this” kind of attitude can be the vehicle of change and the perfect “pill” for those

No Home Internet in January

No Home Internet in January Are you wise? Why would you do that? What’s wrong with you? Don’t be stupid. I could never do that. You won’t be able to do it. These are just a few of the comments and questions that I received when I mentioned to people that I will be switching off my Home Internet for the month of January. It just goes to show how reliant the world is on the Internet. 2016 for me

Talk is Cheap – I Know

How many times in your life have you heard the saying “Talk is Cheap”? It’s True. “I’m going to do this…” and “I’m going to do that” are used a lot, mostly for people to think that they really are doing something with their lives, it gives a sense of comfort thinking that “Someday” it will get done. For a few years I lived this. In my younger years I was always an Act first, think later kind of guy. I

Procrastination and Fear

“Life’s blows cannot break a person whose spirit is warmed by the fire of enthusiasm.” – Norman Vincent Peale We all want to do so many things with our life that we really don’t know where to start, so what happens? NOTHING. Procrastination is a terrible thing. Will I, Won’t I, What If it doesn’t work, Maybe etc. It limits our experiences and our happiness and is spawned from Fear. As Roger Waters from Pink Floyd once said “Fear Builds

Here We Go

Here We Go Finally, I decided to write a Blog. I have so many thoughts and ideas in this head of mine it’s time to let them out. What will I be focusing on? Feeling Guilty???

Having a Bad Day? Feeling Guilty about having a Bad Day? Why? You’re Human. There’s no bigger culprit to this than me. I am an extremely positive person but sometimes I just have an off day where I’m just not feeling myself and am probably a pain in the ass to be around. I feel bad about feeling bad and I know there are plenty of Guys and Gals out there who feel exactly the same. What would be a

#30Days30Photos

What is the #30Days30Photos Challenge? This challenge was set up by a couple of my favourite Authors, Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus otherwise known as The Minimalists. It involves taking one photo per day and sharing it on Instagram. Check out the link below: 30 Days, 30 Photos Why am I doing this 30 day challenge? To be honest it’s purely down to focus and gratitude. I’m taking one photo per day to help me focus and be grateful

Operation Digital De-Clutter

Last year I decided to go on a Digital Detox operation which mainly focused on Social Media apps and Emails. I was spending a lot of time flicking between apps, checking news feeds, checking emails and basically getting lost in my phone. I took it one step at a time: Moved all my Social Media apps to the last page on my phone, meaning that they weren’t automatically the first apps I would see when looking at my phone. Turn
